Paper Misfeeds From ASF

 
 

Paper misfeeds can occur because of a (not visible) remnant of glue from the protection film (used in the manufacturing only) on the chromate steel plate ("base plate ASF") on the bottom of the ASF. In most cases the problem can be solved if the base plate of the ASF is cleaned with alcohol or similar.

Instructions for cleaning base plate

Remove the ASF from the printer.
Remove the base plate. (The base plate is fixed with two hooks at the bottom of the ASF.)
Clean the base plate with alcohol.
Reassemble

If this action is not successful we have introduced a new spare parts set, p/n 380 058

This spare parts set comprises 1 x Base plate ASF (cleaned), 2 x Paper support (black pad) and 1 x Velcro pad (male)
