Setting Formlength

  The formlength on the T6045 and T6050 line printers is set by means of a number of lines where the default number of lines per inch (LPI) is 6.

The formlength can be calculated by simply multiplying the page length (in inches) by the LPI.

e.g. for LPI = 6, formlength = 11 inch x 6 = 66 lines

Once the formlength is known, it can be set via the control panel on the printer.

  • With the printer OFFLINE press the FORMS/1 button
  • Using the Up or Down arrow select the desired form length in lines.
  • Press ENTER to set, this should put an * beside the selected form length.
  • Press the ONLINE button to exit the formlength setting.
  • The formlength setting will be set for the current configuration, but will be lost if the printer is powered off or reset.

    To ensure the setting is retained when the printer is powered off. the menu configuration needs to be saved.

    To save the Menu Configuration;

    Put the printer OFFLINE
  • Press the MODE button, then press the DOWN ARROW until CONFIG is displayed
