T9216 TN002 Rev New

Problem Assigning an IP Address via DHCP

There is a problem with the assignment of an IP address via DHCP in the optional network cards for the T9216, T9412 and T9120 printers.

A new version of the firmware (v1.07) for the optional internal network interface is now available which corrects the problem. In addition, the boot download program has also been changed to support this.

It is only necessary to upgrade your firmware in the Optional Network Card if you require an IP Address to be assigned via DHCP. If you need to upgrade the firmware in your network card then the following procedure must be followed. Please note that if you do not follow this procedure exactly, you may damage your network card.

If the firmware in your network card is version v1.05 then follow all 4 steps below.

If the firmware in your network card is already version v1.07 then follow steps 3 and 4 only.

  1. Upload file No.1 downV107(TAL).bin with the program SyncThru and wait for at least 30 sec. (see picture 1)
  2. Upload file No.2 flashdnV200.bin with a web browser and wait for at least 30 sec. (see picture 2)
  3. Upload file No.3 bootdnV201.bin with the program SyncThru and wait for at least 2 min.
  4. Switch Off and On the printer and print a NICīs test page with SyncThru or a web browser.

To verify the upload of the new firmware please check the versions on the test page (see picture 3)

The firmwares are available from the network section of the firmware pages on this web site.
