T9412 TN003 Rev New . Updating Firmware in Printer |

There will sometimes be a need to update the main firmware in the T9412 printers
and the procedure for doing this is as follows.
Connect a PC to the printer via the parallel port and power the printer to ON whilst holding the DEMO button down until the Manual, Paper and Data leds flash in rotation. On the PC in DOS mode, (not a DOS window) and at the DOS prompt type the following: copy /b filename lpt1: and press the ENTER/RETURN key (where you should substitute the firmware filename and extension for the word filename above). The firmware will now be uploaded to the printer and the printer leds will flash in various combinations during the upload process. At completion of the upload, all four leds will flash in unison. Now reset the printer by powering the printer OFF, waiting 10 seconds and powering the printer back ON. Print out the Printer Status Page and the OS version in the lower left corner of the page will indicate the new firmware version number. |
