T2045/60 History through to T2265/80

	T2045 TN001 Rev New Evolution of T2045 & T2060 Printers Through to T2265 & T2280

	T2045 & T2060 released in Jan 1997 The T2045 and T2060 serial impact matrix printers were released as replacements for the MT350 and MT360 printers respectively with changes to printer chassis, new logic board and new 120v/230v switchable power supply. Print speed of 450cps (T2045), 600cps (T2060) @ 10cpi Epson LQ2550, IBM Proprinter XL24 and MTPL as standard emulations. 4Mb EPROM controller board with parallel I/O only For extra character sets/emulation needs extra EPROM memory fitted. (i.e. Dec LA75 font pack) New long life printhead All interface modules and optional devices from MT350 and MT360 printers such as ASF and Cutter can be used with the T2045 and T2060 printers without modification. UCL 0 only December 1997 new logic board released 4Mb Flash ROM controller board with 9pin serial and parallel I/O onboard. Printer needed extra flash ROM memory for options. I.E. Dec LA75 UCL ranged from 1 to 4 June 1998, T2055 and T2070 printers released. Print speeds now increased to 550cps(T2055) & 700cps(T2070) @ 10cpi Same 4Mb Flash ROM Controller board as T2045 and T2060 but with new firmware. UCL ranged from 0 to 5 May 1999, T2155 & T2170 introduced Printers re-launched with redesigned casing and majority of HWA errors and ESD problems resolved. Printer can now have optional second front tractor or Front ASF fitted. New 8Mb flash memory controller board with new F/W. New power supply fitted. Epson LQ2170 emulation included as standard Overseas character sets no longer need extra memory. New Paper motion sensor (PMS) introduced. New FAW introduced for paper-path selection between trac1/2 and single. New casing covers top and bottom. Please note T2055 and T2070 controller board or PSU cannot be used in T2155 and T2170 printers or vice-versa . UCL ranged from 0 to 3 October 2001, T2265 & T2280 introduced Printer now renamed SprintPro, similar in design to the T2155 and T2170 but with new controller board. Print speeds now increased to 650cps (T2265) & 800cps (T2180) @ 10cpi. New 16Mb flash memory controller board and new firmware Options/emulations (i.e. Dec LA75, MT460D etc..) from T2155 and T2170 can be loaded into these printers Extra overseas character sets included as standard New ribbon drive assembly with 6 sprocket drive shaft. New ribbon released for new drive assembly. January 2003 New carriage motor introduced with improvements to the reliability of ribbon drive clutch. New 180 dpi controller board together with new timing sensor and new timing strip.
